You blew it. Your lack of authenticity and wanting to please everyone around you rather than the person you should have been caring for in a time of need caused  you years of pain and guilt. Not thru lack of love but thru cowardice. Sometimes there isn't a way around it, sometimes everything won't be alright, sometimes you need to put your head down and plough on through especially when keeping promises. It is time to grow up and find your voice - living this way is a disaster

You probably should have replaced one of the lightbulbs before it went dark.

^ Some self compassion needed there  :)

You're right!

I expect to have all the answers all the time, that gets me into a real mess, in-fact it got me into that mess. Making assumptions and finding dramatic solutions and enforcing them. *sigh* - It's a bit too much for me all this, I can't cope with it. I have given up and let it go so many times, or I thought I had. Looks like its a process of continued surrender - for a big ol' control freak - that's difficult.

Self compassion is right, thank you Artist  :-*

To control everything - false sense of security.  Tolerate uncertainty.

*gasp*

So many people give me this advice.

I've discovered a way to conquer all these problems in the short term - stop thinking!

I have something unknown coming this Thursday, at least I know it's Thursday  :D Of course, I could die before that, that also solves the problem.

haha

When I first time heard that 'Don't control everything, tolerate uncertainty...' it was hard to understand what it all involves. It is the whole process, not a thing. I am healed perfectionist and very happy to be getting older  :D because things get simpler and to so many things I am able to say 'that doesn't matter'
Enjoy your journey with getting into a grips with process of tolerating uncertainty. I saw you mentioned Brene Brown somewhere - and she is a great help with lots of things.

1) well done for not engaging in pointless internet arguments.
2) ok, you've done all the fun stuff, now it's time to get fit, eat healthily and sort yourself out.
