It's near Greenland, the country. Everything is near if we use lightyears to measure distance.

Is that near Greenwich, Musette?

Not really, valerie, sorry.

It's at St John's Church, Bromley Rd, Catford.

Unfortunately it's not the easiest place to get to by public transport.

But Valerie does walking. And in London there will be no turtles in need of rescue to delay her progress from A to B ;)

I have seen foxes in England. Lots of urban ones, scavenging from dustbins while I've been making my way home from the pub or club. But last weekend I heard a fox for the first time! Amazing, but a bit sad for the fox. I was nearly asleep, with the window open, and heard a distressed screaming bark repeatedly. I googled fox noises the next morning and it was indeed a fox, and the sound is usually a warning of something threatening  :(

Right now I am thinking about all the interesting experiences I had in Dublin. Including discovering that I do like Guinness after all. My sister always said you should try things again after several years because your taste buds change :D

I thought the awful fox-screaming (ie baby being strangled) noise was the sound of fox sex.
(Maybe that is something threatening)

I think I tried Guinness already more than my fair share.. Still cant get a liking for it.. It taste the same to me as a drink we get in SA called Milkstout.. a bit milky creamy coffee-ish... I might give it another go but I think I will have to be drunk to try it..haha

Sylvia has never liked beer. We were in Ireland for a month llast year at this time and she found out she loved Guinness Stout!  I like it. I drinl more beer & wine there because I cannot get the kind of martini glass or vodka that I like.

I'm going to have a look at that PushingThru.

What am I doing now? Work booked me onto a course for tomorrow morning at 9am. They sent me an email telling me this at 4.59pm. The good news is that its online but interactive.

The bad news is that there are 6 hours of pre-course workbooks and videos that they didn't tell me about and which if I don't complete and return by email to the course provider before the course begins tomorrow morning, I will not be able to take part in. Its on the dullest subject imaginable.

They simply ticked a box on an web page and sent a BACS payment to discharge their responsibilities. I am now sitting up for 6 hours trying to get all this crap ticked off so that they didn't waste their money.
And now I know how Joan of Arc felt.......

I hope you feel able to point out at work how inconvenient that was, BCfb!

I am winding down, enjoying listening to the rain which I missed by getting home before it started. Got the group report handed in for my course, a couple of hours later than intended but without consequences so that's good.

Just remembered I can go to yoga in the morning if I get some sleep now though.
