i have a pink gingham shirt and live in clerkenwell too. Is it just me or does metrosexual = bit of a wanker and therefore something i shy away from, not wanting to big up my wankerness (which we all have from time to time)? If metrosexual has become something alluring since i last blinked i shall happily embrace it as an umberella term.

I think it's homophobia/misogyny that makes people say 'metrosexual=wanker' - it amounts to saying 'taking care of yourself and having feelings means you're effeminate and therefore an abomination who probably takes it up the cocoa chute'.
