Oh Dizz, that's awful, so sorry.
I don't have sister so I can only imagine how close you are to her, especially as a twin.
I hope venting here helps and that you have as much good time left with her as possible xx

I hope working provided you with a tiny bit of distraction Dizz.. even if just for short bits.

I wish you all the strength you will need to stay strong for your sister's sake. Life is a funny old thing as we all know we will be going one day but it is almost as if knowing the end might be near makes it a bit more real I suppose.. and unbearable for those around.

Did your sister manage to get hold of a wheel chair yet for outings?

Hi. Yeah...
We got a nice lightweight wheelchair of a friend for her and yesterday my brother visted ( from Scotland) and took her for a nice walk around warley woods. They even popped into a pub on the walk back though he said she nursed her half of lager rather than drink it .
He said it did her good.
I had planned to wheel her to a hairdressers around the corner from hers this morning but she was back in a and e having her left lung drained again (even though both lungs were drained on Thursday) ...but Ive now arranged with my cousin who is a hairdresser to pop into  judys (when judys up to it) to get her hair cut. Shes not a tatty  tomboy like me... shes always been a bit of a glam puss and as far as Im concerned every effort will be made to ensure she get her wish and remains so.
Oh and weve arranged for a stair lift to be fitted on Monday as its not dignified having to tackle stairs using your bum to get you up there. Im not visiting  her today as shell need to rest after no sleep last night and the procedure this morning.. but Ill see her tomorrow.
Thanks for asking xxx

I would not have described you as tatty at all.. not to your face in anyway..haha

It is good that you can arrange a home visit from your cousin to do your sister's hair.. and if she likes being the NOT tatty one it is brilliant to keep it up.. It will hopefully lift her spirits up as well by not looking like a patient.. Obviously once her hair is done and all you can see if she is up to one of those gorgeous meals you have on an almost weekly basis..

And a stair lift is a wonderful bit of kit.. even when you don't need it.. I hope once it is in you too will have a ride up and down...I used one many many times when I did caring. and it also helped when I had to take up trays of food or drink.. no spillage and you can take some more stuff up in your arms..
