Possibly Emma Donoghue, but that may be because I haven't actually read any Ali Smith yet. I have read some Sarah Wates and actually she is as good as Emma Donoghue or better, depending on whoch of each writer's books you compare with each other.

Actually, I tend to do the same but John Preston was a talented gay pron writer, editor and publisher, and for the avoidance of confusion, slightly more appropriate for a creative writing workshop than 2 jags. Not that I'd want to be too prescriptive in eliminating John Prescott from a list of lesbian authors.

Really, I think we should offer our services to the LGBT Foundation, we'd run a cracking workshop. Fancy dress optional.

Well, I was thinking of when he was in the merchant navy but I do appreciate that clip.

Note the way they go out of their way to reference her husband in the commentary. Subtle as a brick.

Yeah, I know, the bludy hubby reference annoyed me too.

But once we're in all ways totally equal with the straights, there'll be an announcement about how it was her wife who suggested wearing that outfit, because we'll be totally equal right, with marriage, and mortgages, and snogging in supermarket car parks and mezzos singing trouser roles won't automatically have a husband mentioned at every opportunity.
