Really?! Crikey.  ???

The worst bit is that I can't even correct anyone. It's totally socially acceptable to say you're a vegan or veggie but what kind of freak announces that they eat meat? Then, once they have assumed you don't eat meat you can't ever say anything because it's like a homophobic microsgression and once you start noticing them, you're fucked.

I've been vegan for maybe 3 years? I honestly don't know when I transitioned. I have an awful memory. There were a few months this year where I was hospitalized and not allowed to be vegan and it took me a bit to switch back. But yeah it's the best decision I've ever made. For the animals, the planet, and the starving.

I've been Vegan for a long time now and I cannot imagine living another lifestyle. I also love to cook and there are so many possibilities right now. For instance anyone interested in vegan cuisine should check out Peaceful cuisine YT channel - many inspirations there!

I'm vegan, have been for a number of years. Lots of good reasons to be, not one good reason not to.

Would be happy to meet up, can do London or Brighton.  :)

If a person asked you "What would you if a wild chicken just laid an egg in front of you - could you eat it?" - as a Vegan, is that crass?

I've got a friend who asks that to every vegan she meets.  ::)

It's marginally better than 'would you kill and eat a chicken/lamb/llama if your plane crashed/ there's no veggie food to be foraged blah blah and your life depended on it'?

Watch Carnage - Simon Amstell. All I'm saying.

I think questions like that sort of create this false dilemma - unrealistic hypothetical situations that distract from real issues. It's a bit annoying - like, "What if you had to kill 50 people or drink one glass of milk?" When has that ever happened? Is it likely to happen? Why do non-vegans come to vegans with all these bizarre thought experiments, trying to catch them out with some genius bizarre conundrum or something?

I've never watched Saw.

I'm assuming Jigsaw is in Saw?

Coleslaw - that's good for vegans right?

The main guy in Saw is Jigsaw. He looks at people's sins and kind of punishes them in supposedly appropriate ways. Crazy dude, Jigsaw.  So for example, he might make a devout carnivore escape a vat of carrot puree in order to avoid death.
