A Robin's Tale - by Jackdaw 1888
« on: Oct 15, 2016, 08:35:51 PM »
My red bloodied breast,
Pierced by crown of thorn,
My shrill at dusk,
My song at dawn.

My red bloodied breast,
Has flown through all time,
In Light and Darkness,
And shadowed Mankind.

The Christmas cards
The Postmen,
The Peelers,
And even their garden spade,
The World hath used my Symbol,
For its very own Parade.

My red bloodied breast,
Singed by the fires of Hell,
As I flew in some water,
To the Sinners who had fell.

My red bloodied breast,
Heralds Death through your door,
I am Robin Red Breast,
Blessed by God I do soar.
