Newbie mistakes...?
« on: Sep 26, 2016, 07:37:48 PM »
Hi ladies. I'm advising a friend who is new to the lesbian dating world. It got me thinking back to my early lesbian days, when I was first integrating into the community (which feels like an eternity ago.) So here's my question... what were the biggest mistakes you made when you first started dating women?

Why am I suspicious that you're really fishing for content for a below average lesbian article?  :D

Lol Johanna.  It's funny how conversations sometimes sound like a mediocre blog post.

But seriously, my one friend started her lesbian life by hooking up with the recent ex of the most popular bar tender in the town's only lesbian bar. Everyone in the scene hated her instantly and it took years to climb out of that mess.

My other friend started by hitting on every co-worker who ever wore an edgy hat in an instagram photo (assuming [edgy hat = gay], which isn't really high-quality gaydar) and she ended up creeping people out and hurting professional relationships.

What are some other bad moves you've heard about?  It's a funny conversation and helpful to newbies.

I've heard of falling into a bottomless pit of unrequited love until you die.

Is this going to be hat thread now, like what is the wrong kind of hat to wear when trying to date women?

Can't get the link to work on the phone, I mean the tartan one.

Where does that leave us women without hats? Or what about on the days where we don't wear hats?  What about if it's raining and you've just got your hood up?

I rarely wear hats because my head is very big. Woolly hats are the only kind that fit, as a rule, but I doubt they're edgy enough to get me a date :'(
