Just so everyone knows, this event is now CANCELLED.  I'm sure Bllythe would've posted but she's broken her foot and is in plaster, and probably high on painkillers.

Look out for updates...

Get well soon Blythey'. xxx

oh dear.   When I broke my foot I was in a boot not a plaster cast.   I know I couldn't make this but why does it have to be cancelled just because one person has a broken foot?  Can it not still go ahead.  I wish Blythe all the best.  I had a fractured leg as well last year which resulted in a week in hospital and I had to have morphine for a while.

* I knew I'd regret posting this*

Probably because most attendees would like to see Blythe, plus a few people were on holiday.  But I should've let her post this cancellation, apologies for that.

And yes, Marylin is many years long gone.

Blythe brings the bat. No Blythe.. No bat.. No rounders..

Unless sorted sorts it out.

But she's not expected to. I am sure it can be postponed. Who would want to run around in this heat anyway?

My iPhone indicated rain, rain and more rain in London on Sunday. Which would be a lot worse than a heatwave. I like heatwaves.  8)

And if my memory serves me right, the last couple of years have given us nice weather in September. And besides, I wanna see Blythe run when I whack that ball.  ;D

marty you don't have to play rounders.  you can just go for the picnic.  Also if Blythe cannot bring the bat then people just have the picnic alone.  I wasn't going anyway.

Hah.. this kind of event is not so much the "sport" but the SPORT.. and seeing old faces and every now and then meet new people..

I am sure if someone else wants to carry on rounding the troops up for a day out picknicking they can feel free to do so..

But like Dizz said.. its all about the rain.. and Blythe's injury and the fact that this might still take place this summer if Blythe rest a lot.. and heals up..and that when  Blythe gets her arse on Gb she will be able to explain it all in finer details for those still unsure..haha

Apologies everyone.  I thought I cancelled it on here before cancelling it on FB.    But it seems I only responded to a PM.
I do think the injury affected my head as I don't seem to be very with it at the moment.
The enforced rest was probably a good thing, but I'm itching to be able to put weight on my foot again.
I will know more tomorrow after the fracture clinic.

Sorry everyone.
