78ers apology - Sydney
« on: Feb 26, 2016, 12:26:29 PM »
In 1978, Sydney had its first Mardi Gra parade/protest. Many were arrested. They became known as the 78ers; the pioneers of what was to become our much loved Mardi Gra Parade. Today the NSW Gov't apologised for the arrests. Yesterday, nearly 40 years later,  the Sydney Morning Herald apologised for publishing the names and addresses of those arrested in 1978.  A breakthrough week!
