Ah no. Not at all. Soft butch feels totally right. Or androgynous.

Absolutely hate being called a femme. That feels like being misgendered.

Although I also like to drag it up with lipstick and earrings and I become much tougher.

could you expand on this a bit more Pars?

I found that sense of being in yourself once you know who you are is amazing
although I do know folk who feel powerful shape shifting gendering

I used to be a fat butch.

I'll explain. People thought I was doing a butch kind of thing because I was fat. Now, I seem to be acknowledged. Still don't get any though. Oh woe, what is to become of me.

It was a very instinctive comment, but yes, a toughness. I'll try to think next time I do it. Maybe because it's a bit unnatural?

I told a couple of male colleagues at work this week that I feel neither male or female. It was quite nice, saying that out loud.

I spose I might be one of these soft butches. I dunno.

My ex identified as butch but then again she was transgender.
Soft would be...make up?  8)
She hated make up. I used to play with identities before I settled down a little. I had no idea if I was a tomboy or a girl.
I'm a girl...
