I just wanted to let you know about a new website for bisexual women which is due to launch soon. 'Biscuit' lives at www.thisisbiscuit.com
and is brought to you by a passionate and highly experienced team of LGBT media professionals. The site will be jam-packed with treats to suit the thinking bisexual woman. From wine tasting to current affairs, book reviews to fashion pages, humorous quizzes to fiction... We've got it all covered. With a sassy, switched-on editorial policy, we will be sexy without being pornographic, intelligent without being elitist, and political without being dull.
Anyway, I'm the editor-in-chief, Charlotte 'Lottie' Dingle. Pleased to meet you! I edited g3 magazine for almost four years back in 2008-2011 and have also written for Pink Paper and Diva. My dream has always been to launch something aimed specifically at the bi female community, though, as I feel we often get stigmatised and left out. So that's what I'm doing! You can help out by spreading the word, offering to WRITE FOR US (we really need more writers!), offering your services as a photographer and, of course, coming along and reading the page when we launch! We've already soft-launched with the Biscuit Index of Female Sexual Identity (located on the front page at www.thisisbiscuit.com
) - please drop by to fill it in. The results will be released in a few weeks. We're also looking for some 'faces of Biscuit' for an imminent photoshoot... All shapes and sizes welcome (the point is to celebrate our diversity!). Just send in 50 words and a pic explaining why you think you should be a 'face of Biscuit' - partners (male or female) are welcome to apply alongside you!
For more info on contributing and to apply to be a 'face of Biscuit', please drop me a line at email@example.com
