What have you achieved today?
« on: Mar 09, 2013, 07:34:43 PM »
Apologies if this has been done already - I did do a search and couldn't find a similar one...

We have cleared the loft and sorted the contents today and I feel very pleased because it was one of those awful jobs, involving balancing on stepladders and getting covered in crap, that neither of us were looking forward to, so very happy to get that done!

What have you achieved today that you are proud of?

I transcribed 9 million hand scribbled recipes directions for how to cook things onto my computer.

Now I can't lend my laptop to anyone because of all the food p0rn on it.

I found two books I really needed in a charity shop, bought loads of lovely second hand clothes including some American plus 4 golfing trousers and read the papers.

I like this thread!

I have done two loads of clothes washing, washed the dishes twice(this is an achievement for me) and provided salmon fish-cakes for my son.

I'll try to refrain from posting in this thread until I achieve something a bit more worthy.
If I don't make any sense, just ask me... I usually mostly know what I think I could possibly mean.

Saturday chores, then hairdressers, then shopping, then cooked a large quantity of chilli and a large pot of chicken casserole, then dropped a pot of both to my poorly sister, on my return stocked freezer with afore mentioned food stuff, then had a bath, now I'm popping my mums card and pressie at her house and then meeting a friend for a quick catch up at the local boozer...

Were they exceptionally dirty?

Today I (we) have done a year's worth of filing (bills, statements, receipts etc). Filled a whole recycling sack with throwaway paper.

Achieved my Prelude in C Major.   A simple but lovely piece of music which took longer to achieve due do having small hands and fingers as it has a lot of big stretches.    :-\

Apart from a load of laundry and preparing dinner, I spent 6 hours at a choir workshop and learnt 3 songs in 4 part harmony. In Occitan.

got my 2nd pair of trousers,Lee jeans, for my new body... hate shopping and this is a major achievement & in this country there is nonsuch thing as standard sizes anymore. At Chico's a pair of 1 & 1/2s is a pair of 8s in one place & 9/10 in another.
I HATE trying on clothes. Roberta's sainthood has been tested.

I finshed engraving the jewelery box I made out of maple, with swirls and butterfly's, for my sisters up an coming birthday. >.< I now just have to wake everyone up by drilling small holes through the tiny white and black shells we collected at Brighton to make her a necklace or bracelet.

I will always bear that pearl of wisdom in mind, Muddles.

My achievements today are small and unimpressive; a bit of a lie-in, a wipe round the bathroom, a sweep round the kitchen, fed the cats and had toast and coffee. I might hang out some laundry soon.
