Jessica Jones is great.

Just started watching The Alienist. Can't decide if it's good or not :-\

Just found all 7 seasons plus the final movie (and the prequel season) of Prime Suspect on Netflix. This will keep me busy for a little while.

I've finished it and can say it has nothing to recommend it.

Oh. Well that's scuppered my plans for the next few hours.
How long did it take you to realise it was not good?

Watched it all the way to the end, hoping it would come together. Something not right with the directing maybe and didn't find the main characters very sympathetic (except for the kids) and possibly Dakota Fannings character.

Did you watch it in then end?

I watched bit and pieces of The alienist whilst Ougat watched it. I was too disturbed by the 'green' days... why was everyone dressed in green? Why were all the clothes and carriage bits, and all sorts, that you'd expect to be black normally become green? It completely put me off.

Really? I didn't notice that. Oh god, will I have to watch it again?  ;)

No, you put me off! ;D

I've enjoyed Ken Burns' documentary series The West and I'm rewatching series 2 of The Last Kingdom.
I'm going to have a look at The Letdown.
Is there anything else you'd recommend?

On BBC I've been looking forward to the new series of The Bridge but otherwise have been watching The Young Offenders and Simon Schama's Story of the Jews.

And I'll be watching the new series of Humans with the kids.

I thought Altered Carbon was very good. The new Star Trek if you're into that sort of thing.

Mmm, will have a think about others.

ETA - I really enjoyed Wild Country, the doc about Osho. Not everyone's cup of tea but very well made.

Oh, and Godless which has Merritt Wever in it.  :)

Thanks TM.

I do like Star Trek so I'll take a look at that.

I made a start on Godless but got distracted. Must try harder...

And I've heard of Altered Carbon (I think the kids have mentioned it), so that's going on the list  :)
