a new Handmaid's Tale is out
The original one had Natasha Richardson and Elizabeth McGovern and was excellent-completely chilling

I've almost run out of things to watch on Netflix, I've started numerous series and films but end up not finishing them, they are either boringly stupid, too violent for no other reason than the gore, too dark that I can't see whats happening properly or simply not holding my interest.

There isn't even anything with decent sex or comedy, preferable both together, or is that too much to ask for?.

I'm cancelling Netfilx after the series of Designated survivor has ended (which I'm hoping won't be going onto a second series) and after the next OITNB.

I don't have Netflix but my flatmate does so I spent Friday night watching his firestick! (ohhhhh matron!)

I saw a documentary about Paul Gascoigne and Im absolutely panicked that I am going to wind up exactly like him. Living in the past, stuck with addictions, looking terrible. Im going to put a photo of Gazza up on my wall and hopefully it will keep me off the fags and the binging and always looking back.  :-\

^I still haven't watched last season! Not because I don't want to...I just keep putting it off. I was going to get it last Summer then thought it would be more atmospheric in the Fall/Winter...but then other things got in the way. Now it's Summer again.

Good Story.

Anyway. I'm watching Brooklyn 99 on Netflix right now. I saw the first 3 Handmaid's Tales and really enjoyed them, but then lost my free Bravo preview. Curses!  I am also watching  ::) :-[ Pretty Little Liars - which makes no damn sense and has two major characters that are belligerently annoying...including the gay one!...but I can't stop. I just can't stop.

I am watching The Handmaid's Tale. It has triggered me to Timbuktu and back. And I'm not even someone who uses the word trigger in a non-satirical way.  Very disturbing and well done. Go in with caution.

In the episodes I've seen so far, I thought the quirkiness dampened some of the trauma from a viewing standpoint. The birthing ep was pretty uncomfortable...but any birthing scene discomfits me.
