I haven't read all of this .. no doubt it has gone well off topic by now

BUT I just cannot stop myself snapping at anyone who whines about their age ..

at 48 I was told I had inoperable stage 4 bowel cancer ... nearly 6 years later I have been through an enormous amount of treatment and the quality of some of those years has been severely compromised by the treatment regimes, but I have defied the odds and cancer has not taken me off, yet  .....

dja know what, you will not find me moaning about my approaching 54th birthday ... oh no.

Begin doing what you want to do now.

Congratulations on your forthcoming birthday and hope you have many more.  :)

I've never understood the mentality of people who complain about getting older either but then I've lost relatives who died way too early so I'd rather treasure every minute that I have instead of spending time worrying about the time I have left.

It seems that at last the myth off smelly old people can finally be put to rest.

The investigation involved groups of people in three age ranges, young (20 to 30), middle aged (45 to 55) and old (75 to 95).

So....0-19 are children, fine. What are you if you're 31-44 or 56-74?

^ you stink to high heaven if you are in the middle age group and smell sweetly of life in the last group.

Thank you for this,Suze. It needed to be said.
I wonder about 20 year olds who start threads like this.27 whatever.

I wonder if they have noticed that there are a plethora of people over that age who are surviving all sorts of obstacles?
May you have a 64th,74th, & 84th birthday...& more if possible I shake your virtual hand,Suze.
