19 May - London - B/F/T/GQ + friends meet

Ciaran:
A few of us B/F/T/GQ folk have meets in London with the next of these now scheduled for Saturday 19th May.  We've got circa 10 definite attendees at this stage and a few maybes.  It's a meet that starts early in the afternoon and continues until late although we don't do much other than initial drinks, followed by meal followed by more drinks. 

We may also be arranging a brunch on the Sunday as some of the attendees will be travelling from elsewhere (Birmingham, Yorkshire and Wales confirmed at this stage) but I'm not certain of this yet.

It's a very good and fun group of folk and diverse across the butch / femme / trans / genderqueer spectrum - and those who like this energy plus friends and allies are very welcome to attend too.  Therefore, if anyone would like to come along for part or all of this meet, they'd be assured of a very warm welcome. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly.  Despite best intentions of arranging regular meets in London, this is our first since shortly before last Christmas and any newbies who came along certainly seemed to enjoy it.

Few points to note.


* Barring some sort of catastrophe, the meet will definitely be going ahead on 19th May as we have a number of people who've booked travel from well outside of London to attend and, in some cases, have also booked hotel accommodation and time off work.
* We've yet to confirm timings or exact venues (unfortunately, I think this ball is currently in my court as I initiated this particular meet so I'll confirm over next week or two).  However, the meet will be around the Soho / west end area.  Based on our previous London meets, folk will meet as from circa 12 noon, we'll move on to a late lunch / early dinner somewhere and then continue with drinks and good conversation somewhere else.
* These meets can continue late but some people will typically leave early due to travel arrangements or other needs.  Similarly, not everyone will be there from the start with some arriving later.  Therefore, it's very informal from the outset ..... if folk can call by for an hour or two, that's great ... if longer, even better still.
* Where possible, we try to be budget-friendly (in terms of venues, esp. restaurant).
I'll post more details in another week or two, once I've confirmed exact details.  If anyone may be interested in coming along, it would be useful to know, just to help get a better sense of numbers so that I can ensure that the meet goes as smoothly as it possibly can (within reason  :D ) on the day.

Wow, sounds great!  If we're free that day (can confirm closer to the time), would be interested to come along for part of it.  I think we'd probably be likely to want to join late afternoon for drinks (i.e. after the late lunch bit).  :)

Could use a good friendly, frisky  ;) night out. I want to go. I work most weekends but will clear that day if i can.  :D
