If you have dog training skills, or know someone you can recommend, I'd be willing to pay.
He's my (part-time) dog. He was attacked very, very badly as a very small puppy - I was amazed he survived the most appalling attack by a large Alsatian. I've been distressed by witnessing it ever since, which isn't ideal to start with, and although he's a sweetheart with people, and is especially friendly, he's distrustful with other dogs. Lately it has got worse, although he does sometimes get on well with other small dogs. He's now 4. He was very well trained by myself and my eldest daughter in the first two years, but we lack the time to reinforce the training work we did. I'm also concerned that as he's part of a pool of people who take care of him, there is a lack of consistency. I'm thinking of changing this and making it so nobody too soft and indulgent and doting takes him - he tends to get worse after being around too much adoration. He's very lovable but adoration is no good for him.
He looks like a little red fox, a very unusual ginger coloured jack russell terrier who is incredibly bright and well-behaved, excels at dog agility, and enjoys tricks, training, cafes, places full of people, and being very busy. If you can walk him and train him to relax around other dogs (no smacking) and would consider having him for a couple of nights a week, I'd be happy to pay. I want to introduce more consistency in his life - can you help?
