Great! Going to gather my courage and come along if I can... what sort of time were you thinking of meeting?
One isn't necessarily born with courage, but one is born with potential. Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can't be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest.

Can I invite Y (from your work UP) and K or were you going to invite them anyway?

You invite them, and I'll put a note on Sociability.

Let's say 1pm, Sunday May 6th in the area of Castle Park near the band rotunda.

And in fact I'll begin a new thread here and in the main meet up area, in case anyone wants to make a day trip from elsewhere.

Ah yes, I had an email from Y this afternoon thinking it was for THIS Sunday, so I told her it was the long weekend.

Can we have a plan b in the event of torrential rain? Like somewhere inside, perhaps the Watershed? I really dont much fancy sheltering under the bandstand in my waterproofs eating soggy sandwiches as the rain lashes our faces...

Yes - the Watershed sounds fine, though it can get quite packed, but we can try to congregate there.

Everywhere central will be heaving if it is raining. And at least if it is heaving we can surreptitiously eat our own food...

... Unlike my car tyre which is bulging and can't be driven on. Depending on how long it takes me to get that sorted tomorrow (as in my father and I changing it, if his tyre changing skills are anything like his DIY ones I dont have much hope in this proceedure working and I only know how to do bike tyres) I may or may not now make this as I'm not even in Bristol right now.

Hopefully it will all be easy and I am being unfair on him.

Thanks for organising UncleP - was good fun and nice to meet people in Bristol.
