what no Mancurians responding here?
« on: Nov 20, 2011, 08:37:01 PM »
I am outraged on their behalf....at the fact that they are not responding.  :P

Is that clear? does it make sense?

I went to the war museum in Oldham. It bought a tear to my eye. All those lives lost in wars of the years :'(

Do you mean the Imperial War Museum North? That's not Oldham, is it?
I went once, and really liked it, but I think that's Salford.

I love the Museum of Science and Industry, can easily spend a couple of hours there :D

I'm around 40 mins by train from Manchester, so I don't qualify. On the other hand, I'm 45 mins by train from York, so I shouldn't be posting there either, hehe

sounds like you're in no-man's (woman's?) land, so maybe you should just post on some rural website that features cows and tractors and such things. I work in Manchester, sometimes, so I feel some responsibility to joining in with this, although I really live in Dorset so maybe should just stick to some rural website that features cows and tractors and such things...

hehehe

I live in a small town, and even though I may be near to cows and tractors and such things, I'm nearer to the art gallery, library, shops and university :D

I quite like hiking, but cows need to be in the next field, not mine. Once there was a big cow just on my path, quietly staring at me and munching, waiting to see what I would do - I took a wide detour ;D

I went walking in Wales with two friends and two dogs one year and as we were passing through a field full of cows, they became intrigued by the dogs and started to rush towards us. We were boxed in by the hedge and two of us made a run for it while leaving my mate to wave at the cows for distraction while we and the dogs legged it over the styles. It was my most scariest farmyard experience (to date). ;D

how did we get from Manchester to here again?

Apparently it's Trafford :D

IWM North
The Quays
Trafford Wharf Road
Manchester M17 1TZ

I corrected something on a label while I was there (actually, I filled in a form to tell them, and it got corrected later), hehe

Oh, if it was a normal weekend, I'd give it a try hehe, but next weekend is the Festival of Light here, with lots of events, shows and markets, so I was planning on sticking around...
Maybe someone who actually lives in Manchester will pick you up on your offer?

  Hello
I will be coming to Manchester on 23rd December to see family and I will be in Liverpool until 27th December. Although my time is soley dedicated to family around this time if I do have some spare time I could meet for a coffee. There is more to life than London and I still love the north. There is a big gay community in Manchester isnt there? I dont like going to clubs at all and I love reading and a good disscussion and also am passionate about nature( which is why i live in London  ::). Anyway may I will meet up with some like mindeds'.

Hey I'm a Mancunian, born there. Although I don't live in Manchester I'm not far away, still living in Lancashire. I still class myself as Mancunian and always will do. I would love to get in touch with anyone from round this area.
