bus tours good or bad?
« on: Jul 20, 2011, 09:38:40 PM »
I am looking for some advice, I want to go travelling in the UK on my own, mainly Scottish highlands and islands or around Ireland- I wondered if anyone could recommend any companies who do organised tours that people can go if they are travelling alone, it does not have to be a women specific tour. Or has anyone been on bus tours in the UK? If so what are they like.....I don't want to go on holiday and feel like I am being herded round like a sheep!

In my opinion, if you don't want that feeling then I'd suggest organising your trip by yourself, going by yourself. That way you can do what you want, see what you want, stay as long or as little as you want, and... you get the picture :D

I have done bus tours in the past.  It suited me at the time and you really get to see a lot of places.
