Hi

I would love a holiday.  Unfortunately, the timing of opportunities with my friends/family never seem to quite work out!

What I am looking for is a travel company which has specialist holidays for lesbians travelling on their own.  In an ideal world there would be some enforced mingling in a nice setting where you can be yourself and not have to worry about coming out to your fellow single travel companions.  A group holiday of strangers who happen to be lesbians travelling on their own  :)

Does such a company exist?

Any useful information would be gratefully accepted

Many thanks!

Is it an essential requirement that you need to go with other people?
Otherwise, why not just organise it yourself? I'm always going on holidays on my own.

Walking Women is usually made up of lesbian women, although they are open to heterosexual women too.

Often, on lesbian cruises (Olivia, etc.) they have singles dances and singles introductions for just that purpose.

Traveling alone sucks. I write so I'm alone most of the time. For a holiday, I prefer company - otherwise I could stay at home and talk to myself - same as usual.

Good luck on finding a singles organization (I don't know of one for women) or a traveling companion. Have loads of fun.
This is my favorite book at the moment and it's also a kindle book on Amazon!

I think it sucks sometimes, but i dig it other times because when you are alone it is easier to approach people or be approached. Now take that with a grain of salt because I am not shy. Moreover, i have taken note of these social suggestions. American women love the Olivia cruises. I have 14 frinds going in May who wanted me to join them.  Nope! London is my destination, alone, but hoping to renew friendships & initiate others.

@Cheetara - softlysoftly had a great suggestion and they mention travel buddies. Dig around on the site and let us know how it goes.  Bon Voyage.

I'm looking for the same kind of thing. I came across this place in Andalucia the other day when surfing the web. I can't find any actual activity type holidays though for solo women.

Hi, we maybe able to help, although at the moment we don't specifically run singles holiday (mainly due to lack of appropriate accommodation). But we do run activities from surfing, coasteering to painting lessons, and some activities have female instructors. All our accommodation is gay friendly. Check out www.head-south.com for more info. Cheers

Hi. I am the owner of Bambú Lesbian Holiday Apartments in Spain.  Every month from April to November we have a week designated for lesbians travelling solo - there may be couples staying as well, but the majority of our guests are travelling alone these weeks.  We also have activity holidays in our Spring and Autumn calendar, which tend to be enjoyed by a mix of couples and solo travellers - these include walking holidays, our Discover Andalucia week when we visit 4 fabulous Andalucian cities and a scuba diving holiday.  Next year we also have a Writers' Retreat, a Photography Holiday and a Wine Appreciation Holiday.  How do these sound? Please check us out @ www.bambu-resort.com. Catherine x

Hi I realise this is a little bit of a late reply but only just seen your post about travel companies for Lesbians. I run Diva Destinations who specialise in holidays for gay women. Please feel free to visit our site when you are next looking for a holiday http://www.divadestinations.co.uk/
