To my detriment I usually try to solve my problems alone.

Action packed adventure holiday or laying on the beach doing nothing holiday?

I saw a GB poster laughing about Lexit the other day on their Facebook.. Saying it was the funniest thing they'd seen all week.
I thought about naming them here, but thought better of it.
It just made me sad to think lesbians think its funny that many of their own community feel so aggrieved, attacked and overlooked by their own LGBT orgs that they want to leave.
How can that be funny? Its tragic.

In the interests of transparency, that was me. Anyone who is mutual friends with us would know that, so youíre more than welcome to say it was me.

I can even make the Facebook post public to save sending around screenshots.

No, Wolfie.

They have explicitly said they are going to remove the need for evidence of time spent living as that gender. That was considered objective not subjective evidence because itís evidence other than the persons personal identification which demonstrates they are transgendered. All self Id requires is that person self ids. Whether they started identifying that way only 24 hours earlier is irrelevant.
It was an example.  The above is disprovable too, provided someone declares they intend to live in their acquired gender for the rest of their life.

How is it disprovable? Any punishment under the criminal law demands certainty regarding guilt. It must be beyond reasonable doubt. How can you prove to that standard that someone made a fraudulent declaration regarding intending to live in that gender for the rest of their life? Even changing back to their original gender shortly afterwards canít prove for certain that at the point they made the declaration, they didnít intend to honour it. Its not clear that there is any intention to make a declaration binding or intended to cover the rest of a persons life.

Fwiw Blythe I don't object to you starting these threads as such.  I didn't intend to make you feel ganged up on and I'm sorry if that was the effect, especially after your personal history was brought into it which I think you had every right to be upset about.

Thanks.
Yeah, I thought using my personal information lacked class.

I donít object either (de dicto), but I think they could be framed differently in the opening post and ideally followed through with curation in the comments (obviously time permitting) to avoid reactionary diversions and keep clear focus. Otherwise it does look dog whistle.

I disagree with anti trans comments (de re) and think they should be moderated without question.

Nevertheless, there seems to be great concern among my fellow lesbians and the expressed need for these discussions to take place. I havenít seen anything to convince me to join you in this plight, so Iím going bow out and not challenge anything further. I donít feel Iíve been silenced, Iíve just made my points and I canít make them any more really.

Namaste

Happy to.be on half term.
I've been rushing around like a blue arsed fly.for.artsweek in school. Friday was the messiest day of all, I felt bad for the poor cleaner.
