Title: What do you intend to do? (Set a goal for the day)
Post by: Creative Whistler on Aug 07, 2013, 10:37:21 AM
When I want to get something done but suspect I may become demotivated, I like to tell people what I plan to do.  Mostly, it helps because I don't want to admit later that I didn't do it without a valid reason ha ha.

I have an online friend that I exchange photos and dialogue with to keep us both on task and to make potentially boring tasks actually quite fun.  I thought it could be beneficial for us to have somewhere for this on gb.

This is a thread for anyone who wants to commit themselves to achieving tasks and possibly give or receive encouragement.

Well, in my case, today...

It would be a start if I got myself dressed, and into work! ::) ;D

Today I intend to:
Finish organising stuff in my bedroom
Clean the kitchen
Ring BT
Clear the dining table
Get son to remove his washing, pots, rubbish.

Go!

Sigh, yes this is not so useful on work days.
I need to dress and will do it as soon as I press post here...

I hope your day goes fast and uneventfully.  Do you have something rewarding to look forward to for when you return from work?

Dress, go!

I ave failed my mission.  It seemed like a doable list but I thong I was a bit too thorough with the bedroom tidying where I also store my hobby things and I worked flat out until 3 o'clock and still lot finished.
I did break off to do an essential visit to the council tip with a huge old TV set while my mum was available with her car.
I MUST finish this room this evening and have to reset my goals in the morning.
Ho hum.

Was it BT which got knocked off the list? Never mind, tomorrow is another day and my meanderings meant it was too late to ring gutter fixers when I got back.

So, I'll do that in the morning before I get sidetracked into marking out my new territory  ;D

It was indeed BT, and also getting the son's compliance regarding the removal of certain items because I needed him to be in a good enough mood to help me lift the tv into the car :)

I must finish this instead of looking at it...

So tomorrow I have work. I also intend to do the washing up, run home from work, put some electric on the meter and go over to the missus'

Thanks Creative.. Will let u know how it goes..although my parents have suddenly gone very quiet and Mum said they are very nervous...really hope it's alright...for them it's the biggest step ever..and I'm suddenly worrying that them being in a house with her and I for 2 weeks the first time they all meet might not have been the best idea....nervous...

Well I was just about to post that my goal every work day is to be in bed for 10.30pm as I need to be up at 06.30am.

Then I saw your post Mandy about long work days.

As my days are also mostly very long at work I try to get in 8 hours sleep. It helps if I can stick to this goal. Try is the operative word. ::)

Eventually you just feel burnt out. I actually get a bit narked if I don't get into bed by ten- with myself of course.  I have ten mins left then will be of up to get sorted , make -up off ,etc etc and hopefully in bed by ten-thirty. Only me to blame if I don't.

It really is my goal for the day.

Gosh yes, on work days it is all about just coping sometimes. Then non work days have to have rest time.
I presently have a long period of time off work and need to take advantage of the opportunity to get thins done.

Good luck with the sleep thing PearlD1va, it really does help.

Mental elf, I like the idea of the motivational board. Is it for plans and rotas or inspirational things or both?

CW, I've made my board a bit of both - I have 6 weeks worth of calendar planned out which takes me up to my next goal. It tells me which days are runs, physio or rest days so I can tick them off as I go. I have space to add my times in after certain runs but also have included motivational images, quotes and some simple strength training routines I found. It's on my door so I'll see it every morning :)

I like it.  I like visual representations because ideas don't stay I'm my head for long without reminders.
last year when I improved my health a lot, I spent ages on StumbleUpon searching inspiration(I can't remember the exact word) and it really helped a lot. I was super motivated.

This evening I made a motivation board to keep me on track with my running and physio :)

Fabulous idea. I think I'll make a dream board about what I want to achieve. Like turning the mad reactive rush into a smooth organised well oiled wheel. Leaving me time to curl up with the missus earlier than 11 o'clock. I'll divide the dream board into different areas, and replan the steps to contentment. I started doing this earlier today, but I like the idea of an ideas board, it helps keep the bigger picture in view.  ;D

Yes do it! I hope it helps.

Good luck kitty, may your knicker elastic not let you down  :)

I intend to find a builder to sort out my gutters, pointing and flashing. I hate it because I never know whether their quotes are fair or whether they just take one look and know that I haven't a clue.

And I need to contact the guy who's supposed to be fitting shelves. After a week, he still hasn't even been round to measure up and all my books are still in boxes. Do I assume he doesn't want the job, but hates saying so as much as I hate hassling people?

I'm sure no builder would dare mess you around.  Just twinkle you eyes at then and all will be fine.

I intend to find a place for the left over things in my bedroom. EDIT - DONE, FINALLY!
Do the washing up and a load of laundry.
ring BT
Get son's pills and make myself an appointment.

If I have time/energy left, I'll try to improve the hall/livingroom

Good luck kitty! Let us know if you caved in and started doing your Kate Bush impersonation! I intend not to procrastinate on GB today as I have a deadline. It's hard because I work from home on my computer and GB is my equivalent of having a quick chat or joking about with someone in the office. I wish I could put a lock on the door to GB or Facebook for a few hours sometimes though because it's too easy to just flick the tab on my computer. I did hear a rumour that there's some kind of software that can lock up certain websites for a prescribed period of time. Meanwhile maybe I should log out fully. That might help. Oh and this is a great idea for a thread.

Do you not get nervous with your art work?  When Kid was doing her A level art I would get very glittery around her portfolio, I was so worried that something would get spilt on it or it get damaged

..and well done on getting a piece accepted  :)
Title: Re: What do you intend to do? (Set a goal for the day)
Post by: Old Brock on Aug 08, 2013, 12:03:52 PM
I do when it's coming up to a deadline and the work is nearly finished - because then I wouldn't have time to start again. But I try not to think about it too much or I would get stuck. I tell myself that if the worst happened, I might not make that deadline, but there will be other work in the future. I also worry about the house burning down because of my work! Obviously I worry about the house itself and the cats too in that situation...

Well done  :D

I expect they burn more slowly when framed, giving you time to rescue more of them along with the cats and people. All the other stuff is insurable, including the house itself.
Title: Re: What do you intend to do? (Set a goal for the day)
Post by: Old Brock on Aug 08, 2013, 12:17:47 PM
^ Exactly that. The framing does provide some measure of protection and therefore relief from worry.

I still need to frame the cow. I have been waiting for new wall space and now I have it.

I have made all my phone calls and am still waiting for the TV aerialist, so I need a new intention.

I'm going to climb over the wall into the no-(wo)man's land which used to be the access steps to the shared toilet and clear the junk that's on my side of it so there will be enough space there for some kind of garden tool container.

Good luck everyone else with their goals.

I really need to stick to this - been leaving everything to the last minute. Got to get into a new perception of time. Days and days have just slipped away. Such a rare gift though, I don't actually want to stop. But I have to now.

I need to do my work emails. Will take 10 mins and make things professional. HATE IT ALL.

wash my dog. Who really smells.

more packing. I am on a deadline. STOP LOOKING AT EVERYTHING.

sort 2 things out for my children. just because they need me to. REMEMBER.

And good luck to you rosa  :D

I have fulfilled my intentions and solved the mystery of the extra green wheelie bin over the wall. It has a cracked lid and had a watering can in it, so now that I have cleansed the soup it contained of recycling remnants it should make a reasonable rain butt. Hurrah for that and for the aerialist who is right now resiting my inherited sky dish so that I can get freesat  :D

Well I managed to stay away from GB until my 'official' lunchbreak. Not too bad since it's now 3.45.

And I discovered a think called FocalFilter which locks certain websites for prescribed periods of time.

I used to use a wind-up kitchen timer thing to keep me on task. But my house is such a pickle that I can't find it!

I sometimes use timers for non-work related chores.  If I can't get started I might put my timer on for 15 minutes and tell myself to work flat out until the timer goes off.  Then when I rest I set it for another 15 mins. I usually end up working over the 15 minutes but never rest/play longer.

^ ;D I do that in a morning sometimes with my phone alarm- after I am up - so that I am reminded every ten minutes that pass.

Not every day, but on the days when my brain is fluffy and I don't know why the time is going fast.
It is as if I don't quite believe the clock if I glance every so often. Like 20 minutes have gone when I only looked 5 minutes ago. Does anyone else get that?

Hope you have all achieved your goals for today- some of you seem to have done well for sure.

Kitty, I hope that the interview went well.

Same old boring goal for me tonight- bed by 10.30.

I think any time of any day my brain is foggy and time has always been am issue for me.  Even learning to tell the time and my son is exactly the same.
Today I intended to put away some items in my room and figured that one hour should be a good target.  I spent half an hour just rearranging unwritten postcards and greetings cards on order of shape and size into a new box.  I did a good job but it took me all flipping morning.  I frequently have to remind myself to think about my pace, then again not long after...

I remember, at Brownie camp, packing my things to go home. The other children had all finished and ther was only myself and a leader in the room. I remember her saying to me 'why are you taking so long?' 'You must be doing this on purpose?'  I was just as puzzled because all I was doing was following the procedures involved with packing for home properly (I had read packing advice on my Brownie Guide handbook)

No.
As I've not made it before, I just want to check that it tastes nice. I like to think that they will enjoy what I prepare.
And I doubt very much if my friends are particularly interested whether I've done my Saturday chores. :P

I need to get to the point in writing my report that I can go dancing for at least an hour tonight.

Of course this involves at least an hour getting ready too.

Can I do it? Yes I can!

(Maybe....)

I need to:

Finish my reflective journal write up.
Get most of my reflective review done.
Cobble together my finished and current artists statement from all the fragments of different statements I have written already.
Draw. Lots more drawing.

And stick to my calorie allowance. That means either no chocolate, or no dinner.

I've accumulated a rather HUGE pile of ironing - so I've just arranged for an ironing service to pick it up.

.. and I've arranged for a decorator to paint my living room, bathroom and hall way, whilst I'm away for a few days.

Now I'm going to do some work, work.

I'm going to finish the drawing I'm working on, then take both that and The Accepted One to the framer.

Do you not get nervous with your art work?  When Kid was doing her A level art I would get very glittery around her portfolio, I was so worried that something would get spilt on it or it get damaged

..and well done on getting a piece accepted  :)

I am going to get this application form finished. It has been half done for MONTHS and I am determined to send it off by close of play today so that I can start my placement before term starts again in September/October.

Secondly, I am going to clean the bathroom and try and go swimming tonight.

I am still so behind. Some friends are going to stay in my house before I sell it and they want to move in next week. My son has gone of to Greece when he was supposed to be packing up his stuff for Uni.

My lovely man with a van friend is on holiday and I don't know what to do with my cats. I was hoping a friend would take them but no one wants them  :'(. Grace the mother cat who was a wild cat has practically left home. I even bought her chicken but she ate it outside. I really love that cat and I think she knows I am going. She needs to be free so I think she has gone to live with a neighbour but her kitten hardly leaves the garden.

Should I take them both to live in a flat or just the grown up kitten? I am STRESSED.  I am overwhelmed. I need to make another list.

Post by: Creative Whistler on Aug 16, 2013, 12:34:05 PM
Oh my, that sounds stressful.
From what you wrote, it sound like grown up kitty needs you and may find it difficult if you leave with out her, and mother cat will be Hurst fine on fine own and would hate a flat.

I hope everything starts to fall into place soon.

Thanks CW. I know I will definitely take Hope but I feel bad leaving Grace but she has not been home for over a week now and I did mention to some neighbours I was moving. She is the most beautiful cat though. Its raining today and she still is not coming home, I saw her going across the roofs this morning. I think she would hate living in a flat. I guess she needs her freedom more than us. She is such a smart cat. Best cat I have ever had.

Project for the day - De-flea that pooch and the house!!

It is a big project as it is a big house ( not mine, rent with a dear friend who owns it)

Think I will need to vacuum EVERYWHERE first.( But first take off all of the bedding and wash, along with any floor mats as I am sure that eggs will be dropping from these ?- that pooch has free reign of the house!)

Then shampoo the pooch.

Then vacuum everywhere again.

Then collapse in a heap for a while.

Frontline pooch tonight before bed.

Bloody fleas!

Warning - bore factor. If you don't find training interesting, skip the post..;D

Today I intend to put work into sorting out my dodgy handstands.  I have dodgy handstands because I rarely practice them anymore (about once a week tops these days). Currently I tend to hold my handstands through strength instead of technique which means my shoulders tend to lean forward a little and the form is slightly ugly. It's what happens if you rely too much on one of the 'big 3' - Strength, Technique, Flexibility - instead of training them all equally. I have learned my lesson I hope  :-\

My plan for today was to break the back of my newsletter (I really need to get it done before the end of the week). It's going quite well :)

The other thing I hoped to do was track down Numbertwochild's PE kit which was left by said child, on the bus this morning, the second day back at school.
That's not going well >:(

ETA: the PE kit has finally turned up, some 9 hours after Numbertwochild got off the bus without it. Thank goodness for that! :D
Now, the question is, do I tell Numbertwochild (who is currently on the way home) or let them sweat for a bit longer...?

Painting as much of the living room as I have the energy for.

Do you mean you start at the floor and then paint up as high as you can reach?  And call it a day?

I think that might be kind of hip.  In a Children's Day Care kind of way.

Title: Re: What do you intend to do? (Set a goal for the day)
Post by: Old Brock on Sep 28, 2013, 07:21:10 PM
No, I'm painting the living room in sections because my energy levels are so rubbish I can't do it all in one go, but I do want to get rid of the 50 shades of beige. So the first session I did the chimney breast, then I started the alcove on one side of the chimney, but only did 1 coat and can't do the other 2 coats yet as Scully is away and I need her to help me move the tv. So today I did the other alcove on the other side of the chimney. It's had it's 3 coats and now, if I can move, I need to take off the tape and paper from the shelves and put the books and ornaments back.

I miss having energy.

Well, I'm having lunch out with my former clarinet teacher later.  As it happens she's married though I get a vibe that says there's more going on there, but it's just going to be a companionable lunch and I won't push anything.  Anyway, that means there's no point in getting absorbed in any big projects this morning, so there's a good reason to get the hinterland of my desk tidied up.  It's full of piles of stuff cleared to make space on my desk.

But I'm not doing anything until I've had my coffee, done the cross word, had a shower and got dressed.

Put the Christmas tree, tinsels and baubles back in their boxes in the shed until next December.
Go for a walk if it doesn't rain too much
Stay calm if the boy's doesn't hear me/talks back/sulks (tall order)

It can look a bit dull without the decorations.

I have put a couple of purple cyclamen in white pot holders at either end of the mantle-piece and will add some flower-lights, so they will cheer things up a bit.

Just can't afford it at the moment, and in my experience, these things tend to take time - i need a get better quick thing as I've started a new job...

I'm not surprised I got ill - I was expecting it as I've felt so exhausted and run down. I need to take some care of myself I think. But I also need to go to work, study, and deal with all the other rubbish life keeps chucking my way.

Yeah, I do understand. Am trying to figure out if I can humanly afford herbalism at the mo. I'm quite lucky I think that one of the local holistic clinics does certain low cost sessions you can have up to three of in a 6 month period, so had £12 Shiatsu today. It's difficult that the stuff that's often really helpful health-wise isn't always affordable. I hope you feel better soon - perhaps your body just wants you to rest? Sometimes easier said than done, I know.

I had to get M.E. to learn how to rest. :-\ I used to just push & push myself & finally I broke. I still often feel guilty if I have to have a rest day but I really believe with illness the absolute best thing to do is to temporarily surrender to it & just allow it for a bit. We're really conditioned in our society to 'fight'; we're meant to fight illnesses, but sometimes the only thing for it is to allow one's self some down-time as self-kindness. I'll stop there, but it's been a massive lesson for me.

Hehehe. But honestly, is that really a hippy thing rather than a human thing? Surely we'd all rather do something we actively enjoy which happens to burn calories as opposed to exercise which feels like a chore. I mean, I'm sure some people may actively the gym, which is fair enough - I just know it's not an environment I love. Dizz, I haven't a clue if this applies to you, so don't read it as aimed to you. I just sometimes feel we've created this culture in our society of exercise-as-a-chore and healthy eating (often) as taking the form of very limiting diets. It feels really weird to me because if we don't enjoy things we're unlikely to stick with them.

I hear what you're saying. Re 'The Gym' I much prefer going with someone else. In fact, I rarely go alone.
My regular gym partner and I do have fun whilst exercising. We encourage each other in a fun way. Having said that, we've not been for aaages.
I tend to mix and match as far as exercising goes. I also cycle and love a good long walk, so it's not all gym. And with regard swimming, there's nowhere near here that's suitable for swimming in, apart from the local swimming pool.
But the gym is something I could do in the evenings; when it's dark.

I would like to tone up a bit.

I hear ya. And yes, it's all much more fun with a friend. I wish I hated chlorine a bit less (and my hairdresser kept telling me off for my chlorine-killed hair) or I'd pool-swim more regularly. I really didn't mean "this is what I do; everyone should do this!" - more was just sorta thinking aloud about the things I enjoy which are vaguely exercise-like. The wild swims I do are such quick dips that I doubt they consitute exercise, though I'm sure they are good for me. I finally have it mind that I'll get a wetsuit next week so I can do proper outdoor swims. I do realise I'm quite lucky with living not too far from good, clean bodies of outdoor water.

You can do it, a bit at a time.  Perhaps set an alarm to ring after a set period of time, such as 20 min, and work for those 20 min?

Do you climb with the same person/group of people each time you climb?  Doing so can help to build trust in them.

How many times have you fallen off?  Sometimes, try falling off deliberately to try to overcome that fear, or at least build trust in the rope.

There are some walls that I really don't like falling off, and do everything possible to hold on.  There are others that aren't quite so fear-inducing.

Title: Re: What do you intend to do? (Set a goal for the day)
Post by: Didymus on Jul 07, 2014, 03:38:27 PM
I climb on my own and there is no rope....it's bouldering.

Today is the first time I've fallen - I've been trying to make myself let go but can't.... I just need to fall more!

:)

And yes, I'm in London :)
Title: Re: What do you intend to do? (Set a goal for the day)
Post by: Porridge on Jul 07, 2014, 04:13:26 PM
Oh, well, bouldering...  That's a different kettle of fish on the fear scale ;)

We have a traversing wall which is fun, and there's only minimal fear when falling off that.  We also have some bouldering walls, and whilst I climb those with increasing ease, I still can't bring myself to let go!  However tired my arms are, I climb right back down again!

Shame you're not up this way or you could climb with us.
Title: Re: What do you intend to do? (Set a goal for the day)
Post by: Didymus on Jul 07, 2014, 05:15:57 PM
I'm sure I'll lose the fear the more I fall....I tried to hold on until my arms shock and my hands got so sweaty I couldn't keep my grip. I had no choice but to fall!

Maybe one day I'll make it up there or you'll make it down here!

I thought it was a squirrel at first scrabbling around and went to chase it out
on my hands and knees and this curious little face peered back at me
we were this close nose--------------------to--------------------------nose
surprise!!!
we backed up at the same time and I very gently closed the hatch tiptoed away swearing a lot but very quietly
in the end I got her out removing the bird feeder and splashing ammonia cleaner around
skunks have very sensitive noses believe it or not
it took two days though which was a bit nerve wracking living right above her hoping nothing would set her off but I didn't want an expert to come in and kill her
she was very cute and in the end perfectly mannered and didn't spray once  :D

I did get up in the end. The kids helped me make the cake and decorate it with fresh picked blackberries from the nearby railway embankment. I put the presents in a cardboard box and wrapped that. Mum was very happy as she wasn't expecting anything, especially cake.
Even the weather eventually abated long enough to get the bbq going, so a good time was had by all :D

10AM walk to the Gay Pride Center for community breakfast. It's free every Tuesday. A sponsor who is trying to sell something sponsors the food , coffee, & tea. We chat for 45 minutes, he or she speaks/promotes. Bagels with assorted cream cheeses ,brownies, assorted doughnuts, orange juice water. It's attended by about100-150 people Hoping  that someone from your side of the pond would someday like to come over here and stay with me. This is right near downtown FtLauderdale and so much opportunity for fun.

later get gas, go food shopping, get hair cut- - -something else, but forgot! it's on my calendar, no fear!

Starting at noon there are multiple options today because most people do not work tomorrow....singing at one bar, a harp at another dancing at several places, $3 mimosas in the morning 2  for 1 drinks all day everywhere and drinks here are between $6-$10 , so you cut that in 1/2 & they 're really cheap...Your £ = 60 cents today so  a drink would cost you is  between a little less than 2-3 £.

There will be food specials too and advertisers walking around with free shots of jagermeister, amaretto, etc, dancing starts at one bar at 4pm, indoors due to the intense heat. When the sun goes down , we have what is known as the block party. A live band outside, ping pong tables set up + other games

My goal> to have fun!

I'm trying to master a V3 on the overhang (not currently whilst I type!).  Only 2 holds left to get to the top.  But I need either momentum or better upper body strength.  Fear currently prevents the first, and the latter is hindered by weight.  I'm determined though - will get there in the end!

I have the same problem with overhangs, body strength definitely an issue and (for me anyway) I need it to get the momentum going. I generally need to swing about more than other normal height people  ;D Currently I'm still struggling with V1/V2. Am gonna give it a good go today providing the shoulder holds up!

Driving lesson (test in a fortnight!)

And undeterred by Medusa and Mittens, i shall continue the Canute-esque decluttering project. Hey, the other day I totally tidied the crayons and pencils box. I threw out several biros that didn't work, some sharpened to silly-shortness pencils and weeded out broken wax crayons for our Christmas candle project. I couldn't quite bring myself to part with the pencil with the hatless Paddington topper and the label that proudly announces that not only am I in class 8z, but I am also a secret lemonade drinker. Baby steps, people....

Tidy up a bit
Read some Ed Pysch reports and make some school action plans (rough). After getting quite offended on behalf on staff as they already do most of the recommendations as part of normal teaching practice.  In the wrong job.  These reports cost loads!
Write some Philosophy and some English reports (or maybe just top and tail them)

Right that's me done.  An afternoon on the sofa with Bez, the spaniel and a mug of tea, I think.

Tidy away theclean washing
Batch cook a ton of stew for the freezer
Go and pick up a bag of pine cones I got from freecycle (to make more stuff for our pinterest-style handcrafted Christmas. Yanno, the one that is going to fail spectacularly)
Finish my knitting. Start some more.

Going to a Catmitzvah. My friend is having a big party for her Jewish cat. We dated many years ago & she knew my white cat, Danny. I am giving her cat Danny's old Harrod's cat bowl.

My favorite section in Harrod's was the pet section. I was there summer 2013 and it was not the same. I haven't seen that bowl since the last century. It still looks beautiful & I know she will enjoy having it.

Finish painting the kitchen, that was painted in August.  Just around the new window and new ceiling light fitting to do. Well plaster had to dry  ::)
Move second fridge from kitchen to basement and slot in new drawer unit - built in Sept. Well, I have had no inclination.
Move everything out of the dining room that shouldn't be in there, including drawer unit mentioned above. Well, had to move the fridge first so that had a knock on effect.

That is all.

Perhaps  more tax work. I hate  that we have to file  taxes every year.
WE just make  life  more complicated.  I suppose t gives  more people  jobs
& the gov't gets  more $$$$ out of us.

Well, a few hours ago I packed NTC off for a week in Greece and NOS to his Sunday morning training.
Mental Hippo is busy with her folks so I have a few hours in which to get some work done.
I have sorted the dishwasher and have laundry ready to go in the machine.
Apart from that I will be doing some paid work which I have been putting off for a few days...

Tomorrow I am taking a party of people to the London Transport Museum. I must not forget! I run trips fairly regularly and have never forgotten one yet but for some reason I have a bit of a blank over this one and keep imagining that I'm going to be getting phone calls at 10am asking where the f*ck I am :-[

Also need to clear my email inbox.  ::) The perils of ignoring it for a week while on half term (I deleted lots of irrelevant stuff as it came in, but I still have at least 120 emails that need an actual response). i intend to try not to spend it alone..

Perhaps i will go to a gay bar a bit later. For some female company.
i like Quiet girls. No loud ones.
Ideally, i'd be in a bar i know (where the girls are 'easy'!) and i'd be reading my book outside, but away from the Smokers, looking out to sea...
Some quite nice girls go there, the easy types - not hardwork for the weekend..just pleasant.
(Before i get 'screamed off the page!' - i'm not being derogatory about these Types, they just cut out 'the chase and hardwork' and make the plan much simpler, doable and so 'easier.' THAT is why i like prefer those Types on say 'this evening'.)

NO, it isn't @ Scully et al.
Why should it be?!
i had a nice Time anyway! A fairly young girl (23+ prob 25) sat on the bus, an obvious dyke, all tracked up and boyish, ear-rings, cap, the lot! And i thought, i've nothing to lose..so i'll try and see - and she took me up on it. SO i got what i wanted, without even travelling out and..got home sated and happy.
i don't mind seeing her again, if she likes! i don't mind  ;)
Before you scream me off the page, i like girls like that. AND..i'm a gentle lover, nothing wild. i am a loving and caring person and..considerate!
We met as friends and i left as friends and..hopefully (!) she'll be about again..
For anyone who likes this : she has a *lovely pair of t*ts. :-[ :P :P i simply L-O-V-E t*ts!
And..i was fair, before you all start 'baying' - i told her my age and that i was old enough be her Mum. So there!
i am careful in sex, almost hysterical about safe sex..i don't 'want anything' if you get my drift, sti's and such..and i'm quite loving. i was the lucky one, without doubt - but she met someone nice, too..older yes, than her usual dykes, but kind.
i had a beautiful one-off night. We can both hold our heads up.

i would like to finish reading my book (it's quite interesting, all about the newspaper Industry..)
i'd like to spend some Time with my Cat (she's got a pretty nice piece of Fish for tea..as in a 'really nice piece' cos i've got the other bit, can't eat without her!)
write a Wedding Speech (yep!)
Catch train later on Sheffield
Buy Lotto ticket.
Look up a vid on You Tube (song haven't hear for ages..search on the train)
right before i go look up the lady st paul's with the bicycle see if she landed safely
back from germany..
write me newsletter (will be a good-un!)
firstly..collect the laptop the Store.
Amen.

i'd like to say, i was in Romford McD's last night, about 5am maybe earlier and..a really pleasant dyke served me, not highlighting her in particular but..she's always fast, friendly and obliging.
Had a filthy look at the wpcs roaming around.. :-[ :D
They looked young and..Tired Out, not surprising after a night out about in Romford protecting the riff-raff!  ;)

I did that yesterday. Aside from the snoozing - I've never worked out how to do that. And I forgot about supper.

Ok maybe I just did the telly watching...

I find that if I am horizontal watching telly,  a snooze comes very naturally to me.. and a warm blanket.. and sometimes a dog by my feet keeping my toes all toasty.. and if I am still awake after 20 minutes I change the channel to something I have seen before..

Revamp my CV and do interview prep for Wednesday
Cook meatballs for tea later
Do some of the most super-urgent tasks for my voluntary job, although most need to wait until I've done the interview prep
Get up in the loft to bring down all the items to label and sell at Saturday's NCT Mearly New Sale. So much I need to organise before then to make the sale go smoothly! So little time!

Sigh, another manic week ahead  ::)

Collect float from the bank for event.
Contact competition winners for early entry to event.
Get my goods to sell down from the loft and label, label, label.
Print off all the last bits I need, if I can get my laptop to start up.
Send last round of "have we done x,y,z?" Emails
Go to storage unit to
Chase up garage to return the campervan
Load everything up in the campervan

Collect child from school and fulfil promise to help him get his new head-camera thing up and running
Spend the evening shifting tables/chairs and Tensa barriers to create a huge queuing system for the sale event.
Move lots more heavy stuff all over the place.
Remember to eat and drink whilst rushing around all day
Try and get to bed before it's actually tomorrow, given that I need to be at the event by 7am in the morning. Doesn't usually happen though, and I'm not hopeful today, especially while I waste precious time on GB!

Oh, balls, I've just remembered that also I have to load 28 printing calculators with batteries and till roll, which will take at least an hour  ::) and refill 35ish staplers.
And I've forgotten to organise anyone to babysit from when I go out at 7pm until the wife is back late from work. Oops.
I probably need to sort that out first!

Oh really? I've been involved on my branch committee for about 5 years now. Started off as treasurer, and came back to that role. I do a bit of everything now, including being regional treasurer for East of England (over 40 branches!!).
The sale was on Saturday; it went really well actually, but blooming exhausting. Just lots of tying up to do now before handing it over to my deputy treasurer while I fly off. Hopefully this will be the last ever sale that we have to pay sellers by cheque rather than BACS. I've got to sign over 200 cheques today; tedious.

Not sure whether to post on that Nurses thread, or the bio life one, or the marriage one, or the Israel war one or the rise of IS or the election 2015 thread or the Iranian politics, or the Police ethics one, then there is all the dating threads and the 'what would you do' types.
They are all really long threads, like 30+ pages and some pretty clever posts were made with so many markedly differing points of view, but yet no personal abuse which was nice. I've made the odd post but no one really said anything, which is generally the case everywhere I post no matter what the topic, being that kind of middling person.

Or

I could post something insignificant on one of the two page debates on here, basically agree with the OP, but get called a troll and worse :|

That's impressive nismat! Is that a voluntary role as well?!
I always paid my sellers with cash. There'd be a massive counting exercise at the end of the day then I'd calculate how much everyone was owed and they'd queue up for an envelope of cash. It would always be a very long and tiring day but once we left the hall that was it, job done :)

However, my friends  know  that I  am leaving in 37
days  for  at least a month & that can become
a life-change  that keeps  me out of Florida for quite
awhile  starting in August, if this should  grow
into a relationship
Also, the Summer of our discontent begins  in May.
The hot weather is  so unbearable that people  are
going out as much as possible  before  the weather
heats  up so much you can throw an egg on the side  walk and it almost heats  up to perfection,LOL...hyperbole

Read some words in this new book I have just bought about being 'sensory defensive'. Gem up on how to control my senses being overstimulated by life's sensory challenges, which right now, is learning how to cope with this appalling hot weather here. Break time for now, methinks, till the sun cools and I can stop sweating and concentrate on things. I hope that forecast I read online, about summer being cool this year is accurate? It's going to be a bit of a challenge, if not...

It almost doesn't matter what, I just need to get it underway.
I have started by getting my bedroom packed up, bar a few clothes and bits for the next couple of days. Phew.

Next up, go and buy parcel tape so that I can un-flat pack cardboard boxes, and start emptying the shelves in the study that I will then be taking with me.

And I MUST call the van hire people!

If I do nothing else today, I must go and buy a Christmas tree with my boy. I love putting up the lights and decs. Although most of them are still in my ex's loft.

And I MUST vacuum. My floors are a disgrace.
But definitely better to wait until the tree is in and up.

Read some newspapers, cut out useful bits and chuck the remaining pages in the recycling. We brought the whole stack on holiday with us for this purpose. The stack was 70cm high. We are here for ten days that would be 7 cm a day, I think.. I am behind schedule but I don't care. I have enjoyed reading and sorting the one cm I have managed in 2 and a half days.... I presume that older news will go a bit quicker....
